"The world was alive before, but you didn't see it - there was too much thought-stuff going through your mind, continuously. The world became dead because everything was immediately labelled mentally, ("That's a tree," "That's a dog,"); the moment you label and don't look anymore, you're not [truly] alive anymore. Everything becomes deadened through mental abstraction."
- Eckhart Tolle

This is true for so many reasons; so many of us go about our lives not making eye contact with one another or not caring about what's going on in the bustling street when we're off to work or running errands. Look at what's around you! There was another quote that went something (paraphrasing here) like: "Go outside, look up at the sky and see how wonderful your life is".
There are no excuses! It's a beautiful Friday afternoon. Practice this weekend and it'll become so natural - you'll be tenfold more focused (and find things to laugh at all around you.)
